Pacific Citizen
Membership includes a subscription to Pacific Citizen, the national publication of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL).Established in 1929, Pacific Citizen covers news and events in the Japanese American and larger Asian Pacific American communities.
During WWII, Pacific Citizen reported on the concentration camps, Nisei soldiers, resettlement, and War Relocation Authority policies. Since then, it has been the preeminent chronicler of Japanese American local and national issues, with a recent broadened coverage of pan-APA and international concerns - from Wen Ho Lee to HIV rates in Cambodia to anti-Asian hate crimes.
